St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto is embarking on an exciting initiative to implement a full Electronic Health Record system over the next 18 months.? Key components of the project will include a centralized repository of Patient Results, Clinician On-Line Documentation, Order Entry Management, and Medical Logic/Clinical Decision Support. As part of this initiative, there will also be significant transformation management activities undertaken to ensure successful rollout and use of this technology.

The eCare Change Management Specialist will work collaboratively with organizational leaders, employees, physicians and departments in order to lead, coach, and facilitate change related to the eCare program of work. The Change Management specialist will play a key role in assisting the project to meet business, schedule and budget objectives. This person will focus on the people side of change?including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures as a result of eCare. The primary focus will be creating and implementing change management plans that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement.

  1. Undergraduate Degree in Business, Organizational Development, Health Informatics or related field or a combination of equivalent experience and education required.? Master?s Degree preferred.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience developing and implementing change management programs required.
  3. Minimum 2 years of experience providing education and training to people regarding change management methodology and practices required.
  4. Minimum 2 years of experience in a health care environment preferred.
  5. Intermediate to advanced level of skills in Microsoft Office applications, Email and Internet.
  6. Demonstrated knowledge and training in change management principles and methodologies.
  7. Excellent communication (both written and verbal), presentation and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership skills.
  9. Satisfactory Attendance Record.
