Saugus Military Families meeting

The Saugus Military Families will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 1, from 7-9 p.m. at the The MEG Foundation, 54-58 Essex St.

Saugus Military Families is a group that supports troops by sending personalized packages to deployed troops from Saugus, and providing support to their families here at home. Meetings are open to the public and are held on the first Wednesday of the month.

If you have a loved one in the military you are encouraged to join and add their name and APO address to our list to receive packages. Anyone wishing to donate items to be shipped to the troops can drop them off at Town Hall, the Senior Center, or at the meetings. Items needed this month include white socks, baby wipes, powdered drink mixes in packets and individually packaged snacks.
